On January 14 to 16, 2015 at Centre St. André de Kabgayi, a delegation of Institut Catholique de Kabgayi led by the Rector Fr. Vincent KAGABO participated in the seminar convened by the Pontifical Council for Social Communications on current issues and challenges of Catholic Faculties and Schools of Journalism and Communication in Africa.

The three-day seminar aim was to take into account the communication training specificities in Africa today and share the multifaceted experiences for a better knowledge of participant university institutions, in order to identify areas of collaboration and complementarity; so as to put in place mechanisms for inter-university training in Africa.   More info, visit www.uck.ac.rw

In collaboration with the Centre for Coordination of Research of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (CCR-IFCU), the Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK)  organized the 4th inter-university seminar on research project on “Preventing risks related to the population displacements-defining models of educational actions”, at the Hotel Saint-André Kabgayi, 5-7 May, 2015.

Since May 2012 to May 2015, 10 universities, members of the CCR-IFCU from Latin America, Africa and South-Eastern Asia were embarked on this project.

The three day seminar headed by the CCR-IFCU team aimed at sharing research results from local research teams and exchanging on the contribution of the research to the debate on population displacements-related issues at local and international level.
